The artist Anthony John Brett Caldecourt

AC is born in Reigate, South of England 25 th of July 1949. 

ACs education: 1966-67: Reigate school of art: Life drawing and sculpture. 1973-76: Epsom School of Art and Design: Fine Art.

1976-78: Studied colours. Mixed colours for several cartoon films, for example Watership down, Asterix, Lucky Luke and Pink Floyd: The Wall.

AC moved to Norway in 1978, after meeting his future wife, and has since then worked as an artist in Norway. They married in 1980 and have two daughters. Most of the time the family has been living in Søndre Land, Vest Oppland in the east of Norway, surrounded by big lakes, forests and mountains. In 1986 they established an art gallery, GALLERI SYKLUS, and have been running it ever since.

AC has had several exhibitions in Norway, and has also shown in GERMANY, ENGLAND, HOLLAND, SWEDEN and SPAIN.

ACs paintings can be found in many public and private institutions in Norway and abroad. He has also designed several CD-covers.

AC is mostly painting outside in the nature. But in the cold winter months he also paints surreal pictures with elements of fantasy. His knowledge of colours and light, and his many years studying nature has made him an exeptional landscape painter.
